ABOUT AF HAIR EXTENSIONS

I'm Alex Ferris owner of AF Hair Extensions in Thornton, Bradford. I have over 18 years experience as a hair stylist and have attained both NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualification. I have attended over 50 various courses over the last 15 years and I continue to invest in my knowledge and experience by attending new courses at least twice a year to ensure I remain fully up to date with the latest methods, applications and trends to enable me to provide the best possible service to my existing clients, and potential new business. I strongly believe you can never know enough and I strive to be the very best I can in all aspects of my work, this includes my willingness to be forever learning.

In 2019 I won the Gold Award in my region for Hair Extension Specialist of the Year and then went on to win the National Award for Hair Extension Specialist of the Year. I have featured in several hair & beauty magazines such SalonEVO Magazine, Salons Direct, Hairdressers Journal International and more.

I currently hold a Super Stylist Status with Remi Cachet, meaning I am part of an exclusive group of expert extensionists picked for their commitment to the brand and products, as well as their high quality of application. Having used Remi Cachet for several years, my application work has been assessed and approved for: Ultra tips, mini tips, nanos, flat tips, wefts and injection tape. So you can be assured of the high standards of my work. 

Becoming a Super Stylist is by invitation only, with a total of just 37 Super Stylists around the world in 2021. The Super Stylist Status also gains me exclusive access to brand developments, meaning I have access to new product releases first, giving my clients the opportunity to experience these first with me.

I love being creative and I take such pride in my work. My goal is for each of my clients to walk away feeling amazing! This is measured by the feedback, lovely comments and recommendations I receive. It gives me such a sense of achievement when I know that I have made a positive impact. In my spare time I enjoy designing and painting canvases and making anything that requires being creative and I believe this is where my eye for perfection comes from which I also carry through to my profession.
